Restylane
Facial aging comes in all different forms. Dermal fillers can do wonders for keeping the more advanced signs of aging at bay. Similar to JUVÉDERM®, Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid based injectable filler that can temporarily smooth out deep wrinkles or plump up the facial features.
At Pacifica Medical Spa, we treat a wide range of cosmetic concerns using injectable products. Our Aesthetic Nurses can help you formulate a plan of action to tackle your needs and help you achieve your ideal appearance goals.

How Does Restylane Work?
Restylane works by adding natural-looking volume to specific areas of the face, such as the cheeks or lips. This added volume can smooth out deep creases, create plumpness and even increase facial symmetry.
In addition to plumping up the lips or adding volume the cheeks, this product is also popular for smoothing out deep creases in the nasolabial folds, which run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, and marionette lines, which run from the corners of the mouth to the chin:
Restylane can be used for mid-to-deep level filler injections, temporarily correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles like laugh lines
Restylane Lyft is designed for treating deep wrinkles as well as subtly restoring age-related volume loss by correcting gauntness
Restylane Silk is formulated specifically for longer-lasting lip enhancement results compared to other fillers

Before Your Restylane Treatment
Prior to your Restylane injections, you’ll have a consultation with one of our Aesthetic Nurses, during which you can discuss your goals and what you can realistically expect from Restylane. Your nurse may have additional or alternate filler recommendations for you based on your needs, such as JUVÉDERM or RADIESSE®. BOTOX® is another popular injectable treatment that can be combined with fillers in a single appointment. Ask your Aesthetic Nurse about the most effective products and treatments for your concerns.
Your Restylane Procedure
One of our classic “lunchtime procedures,” Restylane injections can take as little as 30 minutes, making this an easy treatment to schedule in.
Before getting your injections, your Aesthetic Nurse will determine the specific areas to inject in order to create your desired results. Usually no topical anesthetic is used since the injections themselves are done with a fine needle and should only feel like a pinprick. Once you are finished, you can be out the door and on your way without any downtime!
Recovery & Results
It’s not uncommon for injectable fillers to cause some temporary pinkness, swelling or bruising. You can apply makeup to the injected areas before you leave our office if you’re headed to an important meeting or are otherwise concerned about looking your best. Otherwise, these side effects should fade on their own in a matter of days.
Your results should develop gradually over the following several days. You should notice more fullness to the treated areas without appearing overly “done.”
