For people interested in laser skin resurfacing but without the downtime typical of traditional laser resurfacing, Laser Genesis™ treatments may be just the trick. The Laser Genesis is a YAG device that uses low energy with pulse settings to gently stimulate healing within the skin and tissue in a treatment that more closely resembles a quick facial than an extensive resurfacing procedure.

HOW DOES THE LASER GENESIS WORK?
Genesis treatments are performed using a non-ablative YAG laser. The treatment uses pulses of low-energy laser energy to slowly heat layers of the skin. This treatment, sometimes referred to as a laser facial, can invigorate dull skin, improve acne scars and plump the facial tissue.
BEFORE YOUR LASER GENESIS TREATMENT
Before getting Laser Genesis treatments, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation with one of our Aesthetic Nurses. During this time, you can talk about your appearance, aesthetic goals and learn more about what to expect from a laser facial.
Genesis treatments are typically performed on the face, neck or décolletage, but you can inquire about other areas of the body if there’s another place you’d like to have treated.
Your Aesthetic Nurse might recommend some additional treatments to help you get the most out of your results. Laser Genesis treatments can complement IPL photofacials very nicely by treating hyperpigmentation, while Titan™ skin tightening treatments can help reduce minor sagging and creases. Traditional laser skin resurfacing can also provide more extensive rejuvenation.
YOUR LASER GENESIS PROCEDURE
Your Genesis treatment should only take about 30 minutes to complete. Because of the low laser setting, the treatment is known for being comfortable and safe, and no anesthesia or numbing is necessary.
Your Aesthetic Nurse will ask you to wear a pair of protective glasses and pass the laser over your skin. The sensation is similar to basking in the sun, so you can simply sit back and enjoy the process!
YOUR RECOVERY & RESULTS
The Laser Genesis treatment requires no downtime, making this a quick, walk-in, walk-out procedure. Be sure to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 1 week after your appointment. Your face may appear slightly pink immediately following your treatment, but it’s nothing that should draw attention or appear unusual.
During the coming weeks, you may notice that your skin appears plumper, clearer and brighter. You may see an improvement in scars and your pores should appear smaller. Most people get a series of 3 to 5 Genesis treatments. Treatments can be scheduled about 1 month apart.
