Welcome to Our Skincare Sanctuary

We are thrilled to introduce you to our amazing dermatologist Dr. Dharia and physician assistant Justin Mikesell, along with our talented staff. They are the superheroes of healthy, happy, glowing skin!

Our team of experts is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also extremely friendly and approachable. So whether you’re dealing with acne, rosacea, or any other skin concern, we’ve got you covered (literally!).

Our entire team is here to help you look and feel your best. Healthy Skin is Happy Skin.

Actinic Keratosis

Sometimes referred to by the abbreviation AK, actinic keratosis is caused by extensive sun exposure, which is all too easy in our Southern California lifestyle. Common areas for this rough, scaly skin to occur include the face, lips, ears, back of hands, forearms, scalp, and neck. Lesions often develop slowly over many years. Because they can become cancerous, AKs are usually removed as a precaution.

Hair Disorders

Hair loss often affects both men and women, and can be caused by many factors. We can talk with you about your options to stop hair loss and regrow hair.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis, or dry, itchy patches of skin, can be triggered by infections, stress, cold temperatures, and other factors. It most commonly affects the skin, but sometimes the rash involves the nails or joints as well. Our treatment approach, using a combination of topical medications, oral medications, and light therapy, seeks to remove scales and stop skin cells from growing so quickly.

Rosacea

Commonly affecting fair-skinned individuals during middle age, rosacea might look like acne or other skin conditions that cause facial redness and swelling. We find that treatments such as antibiotics or anti-acne oral and topical medications can control and reduce symptoms.

Skin Cancer

We can spot and treat melanoma along with more advanced skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma. When melanoma is detected early, it can almost always be cured. For those with an advanced case of the disease, new treatment options are proving very effective at controlling the condition.

Eczema

Also known as atopic dermatitis, eczema is a very common itchy inflammation of the skin. The main symptom is a rash that usually appears on the face, arms, or behind the knees. Sometimes, eczema may be treated by avoiding soap and other skin irritants. When needed, certain topical creams or gels may provide relief from the itching.

Moles

These pigmented areas on the skin may be flat or raised up from the skin surface. Usually noncancerous, moles may exist at birth or develop later in life. Moles with a possibility of becoming cancerous and/or those located in prominent areas of the face or other exposed skin may be excised.

Rashes

There are a wide range of causes of rashes. Some can be traced back to exposure to an allergen or irritant, while others may seem to develop for no known reason. Any rash that causes irritation, swollen or hot skin, blistering of the skin, or other concerning symptoms is worth professional diagnosis.

Excision

Excision

Used to remove skin cancers and skin lesions, this technique involves cutting away affected and surrounding tissue so that healthy skin can regrow.
Skin Biopsy

Skin Biopsy

A biopsy is a surgical procedure that removes a portion of skin to have it microscopically diagnosed by a pathologist. This can help to determine the recommended treatment for particular skin conditions.
prescriptions

Prescriptions

A number of Oral and / or topical medications exist to treat an array of dermatological conditions. Steroids and antibiotics are well-known prescription therapies for dermatology concerns, though many other classes of medicines can provide relief.
Topical Therapies

Topical Therapies

Topical cleansers, steroid creams, antibiotics and similar gels / creams / ointments can help to relieve symptoms of a dermatologic condition.
